換個角度看生活

An elderly couple had two daughters.

一對老兩口有兩個女兒，

The older daughter was married to a man who sold umbrellas, while the younger one was married to a man who sold straw hats.
大女兒嫁給了一個賣雨傘的，二女兒嫁給了一個賣草帽的。

Therefore, whenever it was a fine day,
所以，每當遇到晴天的時候，

the mother would sigh: “Oh, it’s a bad day for my elder son-in-law.”
做母親的就會歎氣：“哎！大女婿的雨傘賣不出去了。”

But if it was a rainy day, she would sigh as well: “Nobody’s going to buy my younger son-in-law’s straw hats.”
遇到雨天，她還是會歎氣：“二女婿的草帽沒人買了！” ，

So she was never happy, rain or shine.
所以，晴天雨天老太太都不高興。

But her husband saw the matter in a different light.He was happy, rain or shine.
可是老先生卻恰恰相反，不論晴天雨天，老先生都很高興。

On sunny days, he would think that his younger son-in-law would sell lots of straw hats, 晴天時他想到二女婿的草帽會賣得好，

and on rainy days he would think of his elder son-in-law doing well selling his umbrellas. 雨天時他想到大女婿的雨傘會賣得好，

In reality, happiness is a kind of attitude.
其實，幸福就是一種心情，

It is never far from you, depending on whether you are contented or not.
它離你不遠，關鍵是看你知不知足。
